Dominic is speaking wonderfully! In Spanish mostly, he can tell us what hurts after he runs full speed into a wall. He can tell us which kinds of cookie he feels like eating. And he always lets us know when he is farting ("peĆtos, mami!") He spends most of his days running around the house in his underwear and squealing. One of our prouder accomplishments is that he's mastered peeing in the potty. He won't poop in the potty, and he pees in his diaper whenever he's in one, but he doesn't pee in his undies! He holds it till he's sitting on the toilet, then lets go! On an unrelated note, he's also grown tall enough to reach the dead bolt on our front door.
Noemie used sign language for the first time last night. Up until now she's been very opposed to using any other form of communication besides her pathetic whine, her attention-demanding squack, and her angry battle cry. Now she does a very confused but consistent version of "more" in sign language. She has two teeth that are just sitting under the surface of her gums menacingly. She can stand unassisted and occasionally braves a step or two.
I gathered a ton of genealogical information over the holidays and now hav
e over 500 names in our family tree that, in some spots, goes back 7 generations! I've also gotten into contact with second cousins of my parents and even random Andollos in Spain! I've heard rumor of a Bible that belonged to Danny's great grandmother that's been hiding out in Tampa. I am SO excited to see it. This picture on the right has my grandfather and two great uncles in it. I have no idea which ones they are but I will figure it out one day soon! And that's about all I got.
